Reiki is a spiritual healing practice structured into three distinct levels, each building upon the previous to deepen the practitioner’s connection to universal life force energy and enhance their healing abilities.

Level I: The First Degree (Shoden)
Level I serves as the practitioner’s initiation into Reiki and is open to anyone interested in exploring energy healing. The focus during this stage is on opening the energy channels on a physical level, allowing practitioners to connect to the universal life force energy. Training typically includes:
•Learning the history and principles of Reiki.
•Understanding hand placements for self-healing and healing others.
•Receiving attunements / placements to align with Reiki energy.
Practitioners are encouraged to practice self-Reiki to work through personal obstacles and gain confidence in their healing abilities.
Level II: The Second Degree (Okuden)
Level II is often referred to as the practitioner level and delves deeper into the mental and emotional aspects of healing. This stage enhances the practitioner’s ability to channel Reiki energy and introduces additional techniques, including:
•Learning and using Reiki symbols to focus energy.
•Performing distance healing to send energy across time and space.
•Deepening the understanding of the mind-body connection.
Attunements / placements at this level further open the energy channels, increasing the practitioner’s capacity to facilitate healing for themselves and others.
Master Level: The Third Degree (Shinpiden)
The Master Level represents the highest level of Reiki training and is divided into two parts: Reiki Master Practitioner and Reiki Master Teacher. This stage is focused on developing mastery of the Reiki techniques learned in Levels I and II, as well as learning advanced techniques for spiritual growth and personal development. Training at this level includes:
•Receiving the Master attunement / ignition to fully align with Reiki energy.
•Learning the Master symbol to access the highest level of healing energy.
•Advanced techniques for spiritual growth and personal development.
•For those pursuing the teaching path, learning how to attune others to Reiki energy and teach all levels of Reiki.
Achieving the Master Level signifies a deep commitment to the practice of Reiki and the desire to share this healing modality with others.
